I've been finding many unworn basics in my closet recently and constantly pondering what the heck and where the heck I'm going to wear them. The problem with some basics is--you wear 'em once, you forget about 'em. Or: you wear the crap out of them and force yourself to forget about them. I'm assuming that's why mine are all hidden in the back of my closet.
Outfit number 1: Out on the town casszggg. (casual). Your giant black hole of a tote, your spiked sneakers and your beloved AG ex boyfriend jeans. A simple necklace and you have officially implemented 0 effort. You: 1. Striped T: 0.
Outfit number 2: Fashion closet/intern office/corporate office chic. You fooled 'em. You've officially channeled your style Gods with this outfit. A bold peplum skirt, even one in black, does the job for you. This striped T and that bold structure go hand in hand. Pair with peep toes, sandals, or if you're interning, your Dolce Vita sandals. Go bold on jewelry and keep your classic envelope clutch under arm. Ballet bun intended.
Outfit Number 3: Your striped T hits the town. Printed pants, bright makeup and minimal, classic jewelry pull this together. Do I need to justify myself again with these Zara cap toe pumps? I'll be obsessed for springs to come.
Aaaaand essentially, outfit number 4 would be your striped T with Alternative Earth leggings and your favorite pair of slippers. Fire side, with glass of wine in hand. I didn't feel the need to depict this because we all know before this post that's the only way you've ever worn your striped T.
So break them out people!
