{a fancy find} MRJ Hands-Free Bags

Maybe I'm lazy, but I think this is the greatest idea. I stumbled upon this company through a Twitter follower and I am very grateful for it. A hands-free handbag? Who-woulda-thunk. It's the freakin' future...but really.

Rocker Gun Holster seems to be the most popular, but I'm loving the Butterfly Box in that color! All styles come in different colors and MRJ ships anywhere! What MRJ Hands-free are you going to use when you go dancing this weekend? I'm sensing the future in hand bag design.

{how to wear} your favorite summer dress on the first day of school

{how to wear} your favorite summer dress on the first day of school

Or just on a nice late September stroll through Central Park.

We are now saying si-a-freakin'-nara to summer after this long weekend filled with Labor Day sales and one last trip to the beach. Not to mention, bye bye bennies. (One fine perk of living on the Jersey Shore). But back to what was originally important, how are you going to continue to put your favorite summer dresses to good use before they really have to collect dust in the back of your closet for 6 months?

Simple for the most part. I chose this mustard colored One Teaspoon dress because it's simple and probably the most flattering dress on anyone who puts it on. Throw on your favorite utility jacket and booties. Slouchy, structured, even wedge sneakers do the trick. I chose to add a floral scarf just because mixing prints is still a trend and I'm not entirely ready to say goodbye to summer in full. Gold cuff and metallic satchel on arm and you're just about ready aside from your top-knot and maybe a red lip?

Fall, we welcome you.

{my life} in e-cards

So basically, without the drawn out sartorial explanation- here are the e-cards that technically sum up just about what goes through my brain half the time. Minus the constant thoughts about Starbucks, Miley Cyrus and Alexander Wang.

{random thoughts} work life

Wouldn't life just be better if we didn't have to work for the things we want? Materialistically speaking. Like working to become a fashion-icon-blogger or a fashion designer, a chief fire fighter or a brand ambassador, those are things to work for. Real, felt ambition verses only working 40+ hours a week to feed a Jimmy Choo obsession or to pay an electric bill. Just a thought.

...I hate working.

{outfit inspo} thursday

{outfit inspo} thursday

Breaking in my new living room sectional, watching Maury
and drinking green tea. For one, I don't want to get up and go to work. But since I have too--here's what I'm wearing. Hope it inspires you all.

{trends for cheap} isabel VS. steve

$149
$665

The difference? Well, $500 to say the least. Don't get me wrong- Isabel and this wedge sneaker is a legend of a trend and the original in my eyes-- but if you're looking to dress trendy on a dime, why not go Steve Madden? That way you can afford every color, and then save your change in a bucket for your trustee Isabel Marant's. A definite classic.

I don't know if it's just me but I hope this trend is one to stay. Because for one, I'm looking to invest big time. And second, I like my robot feet. Though my boyfriend, father, and people on the street look at me like I have 5 heads...I can still moon walk a lot better then they can. Isabel Marant Bekett's or not.

What's your favorite trend that you're saving up for while finding cheaper alternatives? Peplum jackets and baroque gowns? Comment below because I'd like to know!

{how to wear} comic sweaters

Really loving Markus Lupfer and this fun graphic sweater. Decided to give my insight and idea on how I'd pair this fancy thang for all of our daily deeds.
{how to wear} comic print sweaters

{to the office}
Definitely the most fun. Layered over an Equipment collared top with a pink peplum skirt just screams Man Repeller and fun at the exact same time. Valentino pumps and a denim jacket add some 'shnazz'. Tuck in the front and kick your Angelina Jolie leg out to the side and let your boss know you want a promotion or just a job as a fashion editor. (Because with this outfit you clearly know what you're doing.)

{back to school}
It's as simple as Rag & Bone denim and Acne outerwear. Throw on a wedge sneaker or your favorite Miu Miu slipper and call it a day. Oxfords work too.

{on Sunday}
{or whatever day you get lunch with Mom and run your errands}
J. Crew linen henley tunic? Check. Zara chain purse? Check. Dolce Vita booties? Check. Your favorite lipstick because you won't be applying any other makeup? Check. Markus Lupfer sweater? Check. What are you forgetting? Your cup of coffee, your spinach salad, your 'little brown shopping bag' and, well, maybe you left your Mom somewhere in Neimann Marcus.

{falling forward} for the 'prepster'

{falling forward} for the prepster

Tried to get into a zone of sophistication for this written piece about preps and J. Crewer's and you know, peplum-wearers and polka dot lovers and well, no offense. But then I looked at my bedroom floor and laughed at myself because I am a pig and far from a 'prepster' and well I just don't know how to explain this to you. But if it were fall (as it's becoming) and I were a prep, this may be what I would wear. I'm sure with much more variety but J. Crew was as explainable and understandable as it gets. Party on you Sperry-wearing, peplum-carrying, Audrey-Hepburn-bun-perfectioning people. Sorry I suck so bad at understanding your fashion lingo. My favorite color is black.

{back to school} for the edgy

{back to school} for the edgy

A little glance into what my wardrobe would look like if I was still walking the hallways of high school. Dip dyed jeans, crazy printed pants and highlighter yellow sweaters. Where's the fun in schooling if you can't dress up for it? And wedge sneakers will work for gym class.
