Seriously, though. The perfect combination of classic, chic and feminine with tiny touches of edge. Went through entire collections and honestly couldn't just fine ONE or SOME pieces that I'd want to fill my closet with. I honestly want all of them. His retro silhouettes tie perfectly in with the modern color palette and design, making you look fashionable and effortless anywhere you go. Really feeling the poncho jacket with the oxblood leather leggings. Aaaaand also probably paired with the snake skin booties. I'm dying here, dying, dying..dead.

Okay- Thanksgiving is over, we're all bloated and tryptophan high, so now I can start listening to Christmas music and shoving my gift ideas and wish lists down your throats. (With lots and lots of holiday spirit, of course). Judge me--but I'm praying for no snow..just, no.

I went shopping last night and have surprisingly been finding more and more glittery things in stores in preparation for Christmas and New Year's, so I figured I'd once again share my insight on what I'm hoping to wear.

It truly is so effortless. I used to be such a plaid hater, I almost feel guilty! Any fashion lover knows the effects of a good blazer in any wardrobe, but who would have thought plaid? I'm working on finding one for myself so I can throw it over one of my favorite Chaser T's and play around with the trend.

November Wish List

More like CHRISTMAS wish list..I sure know how to dream big. Maybe I will turn this into my Christmas list, hmph? Anyway, just a few of the things I'm loving so short into November. Definitely a lot of key pieces and items. I smelt that Bond No. 9 candle the other day, and when I did- wooow. It's not too strong but definitely gives your entire room a scent. Very sophisticated and somewhat masculine scent as well. Loving the Smythson 'Inspiration And Ideas' notebook I found on Pinterest..perfect for me considering I always have ideas and nowhere to write them down. The Zara bucket bag, Helmut Lang sweater and rag & bone jeans kinda speak for themselves, don't they? Also--can't wait to get that fedora hat on my hands. You can bet I wear it everyday after!

The Fashion Impossible: Leather (tapered) Pants

Found it necessary to have to do a post on these Helmut Lang tapered leather pants. They're a little bit of a tough piece to style, but once you get the idea they can become a key piece in your wardrobe.

                                     
                                                 

First things first and that's dressing these babies down. Seems impossible when first looking at them, right? Wrong. Who knew a Rag & Bone sweater, a beanie and some Converse could go such a long way? Stick with cool, similar colors with this one. Focusing so much on accessories is unnecessary, you're going for a laid back look. 

And then there's the fun part: dressing it up. I didn't go to far or too crazy, because this is a look you can wear to the office or out for dinner & drinks. If you wanted to do something more dressy and edgy, add a structured blazer and a bold statement necklace, then ditch the hat. Is it obvious that I have an obsession with hats? I chose a Preen silk and wool blouse, Saint Laurent ankle strap pumps (to d.i.e for), your obvious 3.1 Phillip Lim tote, and, well, that's it. Doesn't it seem a lot easier than any of us thought? 

                                
                                             

THE ANKLE BOOTIE TREND

Am I posting too late on this trend? Because I don't care, I'm obsessed. Last fall truly sparked my interest in ankle booties when I purchased my first real pair by Jeffery Campbell (so old I can't even link), and I wore them into the ground. So, because my love for those booties forced them to be displayed nicely on my shoe rack, I figured I'd conjure up something nice and let you all know what I truly am DROOLING over for ankle booties.

3.1 Phillip Lim makes my heart melt with those gold metallic 'Peggy' booties. A low dose of a futuristic feel not too hard to dress up or down. Balenciaga comes through with the basic, classic black brogue bootie that will sufficiently burn a hole so big in your wallet it will be non-existent. While you're at it, head over to Barney's and play with Chloe, and, well, Susan. This classic studded bootie comes in 3 different colors and has a modern shape and style everyone wants a piece of.

And then comes Zara and Mango for the win. They're a given and I truly don't feel the need to explain, but, if you haven't just yet doused in shoe heaven, I might as well welcome you to the dark side.

I literally feel like just yesterday I was talking about fall, but today has been the first freeeezing (emphasis intended) day in New Jersey. I mean-- I could have worn wool. Since my fingers are still suffering from the chill I figured I'd put them to good use and tell you guys what my 3 (so hard to narrow it down) favorite coats for fall/winter are.

Why is it that I'm always so inspired on Thursdays? I think I've found a new favorite day of the week.
Happy FNO! Unfortunately attendance won't be deemed for I this year, but next year expect me running up and down 5th Ave. In accordance, my outfit is FNO ready. Topshop drop waist dress, booties, a statement Isabel Marant bag. Where is the struggle? My go to pieces are Karen Walker sunnies and of course a leather moto vest. Best ways to finish your outfit perfectly.

{how to wear} baroque - fall trend series

Happy September! Decided I'd do a fall trend series expressing how I'd wear all these fancy trends. You don't have to take my word for it-- this is just what I see in my head.

Using these J Brand baroque print pants, I played them up 3 different ways for this season. First things first: to the office. Gotta work to live and live to work, eh? YSL bag, Miu Miu shoes and everything else sleek and simple...you look great for your cubicle.

Out & about on a Sunday calls for a light T shirt and a denim jacket to play these loud jeans down a notch. Followed with another favorite trend- chelsea boots. Trendy and comfy.

And then it's Saturday night and you want to wear your new favorite pants out on the town. All white on top, played up with fun necklaces and killer heels. The jeans do it all, basically. Happy fall.
