The Fashion Impossible: Leather (tapered) Pants

Found it necessary to have to do a post on these Helmut Lang tapered leather pants. They're a little bit of a tough piece to style, but once you get the idea they can become a key piece in your wardrobe.

                                     
                                                 

First things first and that's dressing these babies down. Seems impossible when first looking at them, right? Wrong. Who knew a Rag & Bone sweater, a beanie and some Converse could go such a long way? Stick with cool, similar colors with this one. Focusing so much on accessories is unnecessary, you're going for a laid back look. 

And then there's the fun part: dressing it up. I didn't go to far or too crazy, because this is a look you can wear to the office or out for dinner & drinks. If you wanted to do something more dressy and edgy, add a structured blazer and a bold statement necklace, then ditch the hat. Is it obvious that I have an obsession with hats? I chose a Preen silk and wool blouse, Saint Laurent ankle strap pumps (to d.i.e for), your obvious 3.1 Phillip Lim tote, and, well, that's it. Doesn't it seem a lot easier than any of us thought?
